Over the connecting corridor between laboratories and greenhouses, an artificial hill is heaped up. On evergreen artificial turf stands an oak bonsai by Caspar David Friedrich and 12 oversized golden apples. When passing the resulting tunnel the names of natural Philosophers appear: the western in the west and the eastern philosophers in the east. In the "social space" of the laboratory building we find two seating areas with western and eastern world maps on tables including the appropriate books underneath.
